private chef in lisbon
Hosting a private dinner at home or in your villa should feel effortless.
Below you’ll find answers to the most common questions about booking a private chef in Lisbon, from menu design and service style to pricing and dietary requests.
How does the private chef experience work?
Each dinner is designed around your occasion, number of guests, and preferences.
Once you reach out, we’ll discuss your ideas, create a custom menu, and confirm the details.
On the day of your event, I bring everything needed; ingredients, equipment, and serving items, cook in your kitchen, serve the meal, and leave the space spotless.
It’s a restaurant-quality experience, fully private and completely stress-free.
How far in advance should I book?
It’s best to book your private chef experience as early as possible, ideally two to three weeks in advance, especially during holidays or the summer season in Lisbon, Cascais, and Sintra.
For quieter months or weekday dinners, a shorter notice is often fine, but advance booking ensures the best ingredients and confirmed availability.
Can you accommodate dietary restrictions or preferences?
Absolutely. Every menu can be vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, or dairy-free, and I can adapt recipes for allergies or dietary needs. I use fresh, local, farm-to-table ingredients and build menus that make everyone at the table feel included.
If you have specific requests, just mention them during our initial chat.
How much does a private chef in Lisbon cost?
Pricing depends on the menu style, number of guests, and level of service, for example, a romantic dinner for two differs from a family feast or villa event. Once we discuss your ideas, you’ll receive a clear, personalized quote that includes everything from ingredient sourcing to clean-up.
There are no hidden costs, and every menu is designed around your budget and preferences.
Where do you offer private chef services?
I serve clients throughout Lisbon, Cascais, and Sintra, as well as nearby coastal areas.
Whether it’s a city apartment, countryside villa, or seaside Airbnb, I bring the full dining experience to you.
My kitchen setups adapt easily to any space, big or small.
What types of meals can I book?
You can choose from a variety of experiences: mezze tables, family-style feasts, multi-course plated dinners, or BBQ and grilled menus for summer evenings. All options are seasonal and customizable.
You can explore examples on the My Food page for inspiration.
Is clean-up included?
Always.
Once the meal is served and enjoyed, I tidy and clean the kitchen so you’re left with only one thing – a relaxed evening.
Do you provide tableware or decorations?
Most clients prefer to use their own tableware, but I can bring essentials or help arrange table styling on request.
For special events such as birthdays, anniversaries, or corporate dinners, I can collaborate with local florists or rental companies to create the perfect setup.
Do you use local or imported ingredients?
Nearly everything I cook with comes from Lisbon’s markets and regional farms.
I prioritize seasonal produce, Portuguese olive oil, and sustainably caught seafood.
This farm-to-table approach keeps each menu fresh, flavorful, and true to the region.
Are you available for villas, events, or retreats?
Yes. I frequently cook for villa guests, small weddings, retreats, and business gatherings. Whether it’s a casual BBQ, or a plated event dinner, the service is fully flexible.
You can learn more about these options on the Services page.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
Plans change, and I understand.
Cancellations made at least one week before the event are fully refundable.
If you need to reschedule, I’ll do my best to find a new date that works for you.
